Training for all Ministers of Care for the homebound, hospitalized, and nursing home residents is done at the Deanery level. Interviews for those considering becoming a Minister of Care precede registration for the training sessions which typically run for six consecutive weeks.  Please watch the Bulletin for announcements concerning the next training session. Ministers of Care are also called on to assist with the Community Masses when the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is celebrated.

Ministers of Care visit St. Raymond’s parishioners in our local hospitals. The minister’s role is to let the hospitalized parishioners know that we care about them and that we will be praying for them as a community. This is a pastoral visit, as our Ministers of Care will, if the patient is open to it, pray with them. With enough volunteers, ministers would be assigned to a specific day every other week. All visits are kept confidential. Training is required (see Minister of Care Training).
