Deacon John Lorbach
Director of Worship
Deacon John Lorbach is currently the Director of Worship at St. Raymond. He, along with Brian Fife, is an Animator for the Worship Commission. Deacon John, along with his Assistant, Mrs. Mary Lou Cacioppo, is responsible for the scheduling, planning and facilitating of all liturgies, services and events in the church, the recruiting and on-going formation of liturgical ministers and for maintaining the conditions of the church.
Besides being Director of Worship, Deacon John coordinates the Baptism Program, the Welcoming Ministry and is the parish’s representative to St. Mark Lutheran Church, our covenant parish, and to the Archdiocese’s Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Affairs. Deacon John currently represents the Parish Core staff on the Parish Council. An annual speaker at an Adult Formation Enrichment Evening, Deacon John has been invited to be a guest speaker at various parishes and annually at the Diaconate’s St. Stephen Symposium.
Ordained to the Diaconate in 1996, John and his wife, Ingrid have been members of St. Raymond’s since 1976. The Lorbachs have 3 adult children.
