Liz Theiss Faith Formation Assistant
In 2014 as my family prepared to move from Seattle to Chicagoland, we fervently prayed for a welcoming faith community to be a part of. The Holy Spirit led us to Mount Prospect, and we have been members of St. Raymond parish since. We are so grateful for the friendships and support we have found here.
My background is in education; I hold an undergraduate degree in French literature, a teaching certification, and a Master’s degree in French and Higher Ed administration. I have been a teacher here and abroad, a visa coordinator, and a private tutor. I traveled on four continents and have encountered and learned from many different people and populations. At St. Raymond’s, I have been a Religious Education instructor and involved with St. Raymond’s Backpack Ministry. I find great joy in being of service to others in our community. My two oldest kids are also part of the altar-serving ministry.
My husband Adam and I have been married since 2005, and we have four fun, loud, brilliant children who always have us running to keep up. In my free time, I love being active outside, traveling and exploring, sewing, reading, and playing board games.
