Mary Lou Larson Music Admin Assistant

My family moved to Mount Prospect over 26 years ago. One of the main reasons was that we loved Mount Prospect and the St. Raymond’s Faith Community.
My background is in Secondary Education, with a minor in Fashion design. My love for music led me to this position, which I have held for the past 27-plus years.
I currently sing in the Parish and Festival choirs, cantor regularly at weekend Masses, and serve in this capacity at Funerals and Weddings. Over the last twenty years, I have worked with wedding coordination at the parish. My job has been to help run wedding rehearsals and see them through on the day of, as well as keep the schedule for all the coordinators. I truly enjoy being a part of these essential ministries. I am responsible for creating and publishing the weekly music worship aid and the ones used to celebrate Christmas, Triduum, and some sacraments. I have served on the Worship Committee and Parish Council, participated in and led CHRP weekends, and am still brightly lit by the joy of being involved in this parish.
My husband John and I have been married for over 39 years. We have three adult children, all of whom have served and grown in their faith here. We are grandparents to six lovely little ones. They round out our lives in the very best ways! In my free time, I am an avid gardener. I also love to sew, quilt, exercise, and dabble in interior design. I enjoy photography, baking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
