Valerie Kulbacki, SSJ-TOSF Director of Care Ministry
Sr. Valerie Kulbacki has served as Director of Care Ministries at St. Raymond since 2008. She describes this position as “walking with” our parishioners who may be experiencing some difficulty in their lives, whether that be illness, the loss of a loved one, or other challenges that life can bring. As a counselor and certified spiritual director, Sr. Val is happy to meet with anyone who wishes to share their circumstances confidentially and hopefully find some direction in dealing with these challenges.
Sr. Val also coordinates our Ministers of Care for our homebound and hospitalized parishioners and works with the coordinators of our Bereavement, Outreach to the Homeless, Rosary Makers, Afghan Makers, Seamless Garment/Respect Life, Domestic Violence, Mats for the Homeless, Prayer Shawl, and Substance Abuse Ministries. She also serves as a Bereavement Minister for families experiencing loss by helping them prepare the funeral for their loved one, offering individual grief support, and facilitating our Emmaus Walk Grief Support Group. She also considers visiting our parishioners who are hospitalized to be an important part of her ministry at St. Raymond.
Sr. Val is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St Francis, a Franciscan Community founded in 1901 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
